What is a "strafe"? I sprint towards them and melee after I chase them with my Assault Rifle.
This works about 75% of the time. Just make sure you run in a straight line!!
I've found this throws them off.

Also throw a grenade at your feet. It will give you that extra boost you need to catch them off guard.

Ya, but when doing this you have to make sure to stand ABSOLUTELY STILL!! After the grenade explodes then sprint!!
