A ranking system has absolutely no bearing on whether a game is good or bad.

What lol? The game is competitive in nature. Just because the average person finds it boring because there's no ranking system doesn't make it an noncompetitive game. A game is considered "competitive" when it has an infinite skill ceiling and balance.

I mean it doesn't determine whether the game's good or bad, but it adds to it. Having a competitive system gives longevity to the game, not only in terms of years, but in terms of numbers.

No doubt, but popularity doesn't really determine whether a game is good or bad.

when you play sports... you play for fun mostly
when you play competitively when there is something on the line, you actually try, and its the best feeling when u win in a competitive match

yes it doesnt make the game itself good or bad

but it makes the game more fun

The problem is I still like reach rank doesn't matter to me cause when you get 25 plus kills in every match in slayer and any other gametype you know your good
I play for fun and still own the average no life nerd
But it gets anoying playing against noob that are forunners
So halo 3 was best
