Clearly :o

Oh, good then. Because I agree with you to some degree. I loved Halo: Combat Evolved because it made FPS games nowadays so much better. I remember playing it for Xbox when it came out and thinking they were the most amazing graphics I had ever seen (but of course graphics don't make a game, I am just saying what I thought when it came out). It was a Hell of a game, and if I still had it, I would replay that campaign a lot. :p

Halo 2 was amazing for it's campaign as well.

Halo 3 was just an amazing game because it was so well done and the campaign was the best campaign I have ever played on any game. The soundtrack was phenomenal, etc, etc.

Reach is just Halo 3 with a tweeked Forge and a few new weapons, and the soundtrack was bland. The campaign however was amazing.

The CE campaign was good, the campaigns for 2-Reach were fucking terrible. So many plot holes, deviations from the main canon, etc.

I agree that Reach had plot holes. Like Jun never dies ... What the fuck happened to him and where is he !?

Not to mention that the entire Reach campaign was grossly inaccurate. Bungie introduces Dr. Halsey and the Spartan III's for no apparent reason, then they proceed to disregard the entire fucking story and make some terrible fucking game. Why didn't Bungie just use the original Spartan II's, who were actually part of the fall of Reach? Bungie is so bad at creating decent campaigns. Hopefully 343 will do a better job

I haven't read the books. So I am not sure what my opinions are on that. But yea, I hope that 343 Industries does good with Halo 4.

This is truncated, but eh.

What actually happened on Reach:

John(Spartan 117) and the rest of the Spartan II's were sent to Reach to protect it. They failed, and the Covenant killed most of the Spartans/burned most of Reach. John escaped with Keyes, and they went off to the first Halo construct. The remaining S II's went into underground tunnels, and found Dr. Halsey(The creator of the S II's). This is the point at which Halsey actually found out about the S III's from reading restricted files, but still didn't know if they actually existed or not. She didn't actually meet until a few weeks later. The Spartan III's were on a planet called Onyx at the time of Reach, and they were a secret project(Only a few dozen people even knew they existed).

Bungie's version of Reach:

S II's didn't even exist(Except for John at the end of the game, and that was an Easter egg). The S III's were, for some reason, stationed on Reach when the Covenant attacked. Dr. Halsey somehow knew all about the S III's.

tl;dr: Bungie disregarded the entire storyline of the books when they created Reach, even though they used two huge elements of the books in the campaign(The S III's and Dr. Halsey).

Wow lol .. Bungie sure fucked up. Oh well though .. I mean .. It's a game, so it's fun to play, but the story isn't accurate which is a little retarded. ):
