and anyways tell me why at least 4-5 other great artists could spit a fuckin sick freestyle but he couldnt? all was on the spot just like wayne..and supposedly he's better than all of them so you'd think his freestyle would be better than anyones right? well it wasn't (in the Tim Westwood freestyle case)
Someone high out of his mind 24/7 gets told to spit and it's not that great a handful of times he does spit and get put on the spot?! (in maybe a hundred videos out of thousands)
Let alone really even understandable do to the amount of slurring and everything from the syrup...
Oh come on, that's just absurd and unheard of...
Freestyling doesn't mean you're going to sit there for 2-15 minutes and write a song.
He does freestyle a lot of his shit because when he does the verses he spits something until he likes it... Line by line..Not verse by verse.
He overdubs A LOT. Spits something, listens, doesn't like it then it's out and he tries something new...
If you watch some of his recording sessions he wont sit down and write what he's thinking, he will just try and spit it and that's how his songs are composed as far as verses.
There are hundreds, i'm sure even thousands of artists who do the same thing, but instead of doing it for a whole song they'll write a part down they already have and then try to come up with something
for the second, third, fourth part of the verse later at home or that night or something. Wayne's "Freestlye" just means he's always in the studio booth when his shit is layed on the track (etc..)
That's what makes lil wayne as popular as he is.. He's well known for the way he approaches the rhythms beat differently than most people would or (unconventionally) and what he says and how it's spoken as far a syllables.
Ok if all his freestyles are terrible... Then tell me why there are 100x more videos on the internet of him doing hella tight freestyles opposed to being really high, slurring, stumbling and stuttering while his head
seems as if it's to heavy for him.
Don't get me wrong Shane I don't think Wayne is the best rapper "Alive" or "Ever" by any means...
I just think whether or not he has fuck ups freestyling or even choking on a few is completely irrelevant
and has no reflection on his actual talent or the outcome of whatever song he was working on.
Ya know the simple fact is writers or not he has more money than i'm sure 99.99% of the population of Mc's/Rappers...
He is nearly on every new hip-hop/rap song that comes out man... He is marketable as all hell and people enjoy his shit.
