We were talking about how if you were good enough, you wouldnt have to pay for an event and i would know who you were.

Royal 2 was recognized for being amazing online, and teamed with TALENT and HOMICIDE, thats pretty much a pro seeded team.
aptitude got a free sponsor being the best online, went to an event for free and placed pro.
Ulrich and znightmare got pro offers purely for being good online.

Eh1.  most online players are unknown to event players. And I'm not sure what you mean, 2. no online player, no matter how good, gets fully sponsored unless they have some ridiculous connections.
1. i just named like 10, and have a list a lot bigger, so this is wrong.

2. aptitude got fully sponsored based on his skill online, not connections, and the other people i mentioned got on teams with a pro seed, and the stipend u get for being on a pro team pretty much pays your way to the event.

We were talking about going from being an online player to being picked up by a pro seeded team.

I don't know who Ulrich is(The name is familiar, don't know his story), but if he's anything like zNightmare, he wasn't known solely for his online play. zNightmare played a ton of online games, sure, but most people I used to talk to/play with didn't think he was good until he started placing well in events. I certainly wasn't impressed by him online; he just played like a selfish player with a good connection. He always went pretty positive, but he was always an average overall player. I guess he played differently on LAN

1. You named a few good online players; I don't know some of their stories, but I doubt most of them got a full sponsorship straight from being an online player. GB is the best way to do that, and most GB players are honestly not that good. It sounds cliche, but pretty much any online tournaments are worthless because of the shitty latency problems.

2. I would say having a good internet connection constitutes having good connections.

Because k/d means anything? Lol. I probably have a 1.5 k/d in MLG when I'm actually trying.
