Okay, so I'm going to be buying a new headset so I can give my old turtles beach X11 to my brother.
Is this something worth buying? http://www.astrogaming.com/audio-systems/a30-audio-systems/a30-audio-system-mlg-edition

I think the question you need to ask yourself is "do you want to use these outside?" The one advantage of a30's is that they're very normal looking, and can pass as standard headphones, so i wouldnt be embarrassed wearing them outside of my house. If your headset use is strictly for gaming and netflix then the a40's are far better, even the astro site will tell you that the a40's are the tournament ready option, noticeably better than their a30's in sound quality.

Thanks for the tip, I will probably end up buying the A40's after Christmas since I have to get other people gifts first.
