I have these too, vouch the shit outta this.
Yeah forsure.
Doug if you have a price range of about 300, then your best bet is more then likely PC360's. The ONLY downside I've noticed is that they are SIGNIFICANTLY loud because of the Open Air design. However if you are not concerned about other around you or no one is playing like right next to you or someshit then it doesn't matter.
As far as sound quality goes this headset EASILY trumps my old pair of a40's and even with HIGH volumes this headset keeps its cool and delivers GREAT highs and lows accurately with an AMAZING sound stage. By buying a "stero" headset you sacrifice the DD option offered through the mixamp however the 5.1 surround sound the mixamp creates combined with the headsets amazing bass, highs and lows make it just as good as DD.
Comfort is just amazing, sometime I honestly forget I'm wearing a headset. My ears never irritated or uncomfortable or anything.
The mic is kind of bulky, some people say it's too big but I honestly think it's fine. It's not really in my way and the quick mute by swinging the boom up is a pretty neat feature. The headset itself is extremely light being made almost entirely of plastics. However this may seem to question it's durability the headset is still well put together and none of the headset seems rushed or overlooked.
I'm no audiophile so this is just my two cents. I'll try to find the set of reviews Steggy from the MLG Forums did on some of the top gaming headsets.
Also - You will need an Astro Y Splitter, if you have a A40 headset already you should have one.
