You're too young to know this, but Halo:Ce was by far the best, they progressively got worse with each installment. Bungie (like most big companies now) cater to mass sales, thus make their games easier and easier for the average/poor player to be able to pick it up and do well. Thanks god for MLG and their settings.

Halo 2 was actually awful when it first came out, but after some updates and glitches were figured out (which gave 'good' players who could pull them off in clutch situations the edge) the game got ALOT better

The skill gap between 'good' and 'average' players was extremely noticeable in Halo:Ce, that gap progressively got smaller and smaller with each game.

Just my 2 cent. But any veteran / good player would agree.

Well I was leaning more towards playing it competitively, vs good teams/players.

Edit: And I think you were around 8 or 9 years old when CE was in it's prime.

I disagree Deezy. I would say that Halo 2 was the best Halo as it fully utilized online play, and had a badass match making system. One the game first came out, you're right. The beatdowns took like 6 to kill someone, grenades were underpowered, and you were able to dummy warthogs and sword glitch across Coag like nobodies business. Once the patch came out though, and people learnt about BxR, RRx, RRBx, etc. the gameplay increased tenfold. Also map packs were free after a couple months. And it had the best multiplayer maps yet.

Well I played CE on Xbconnec, also played alot of local lans and attended lots of tourneys. The game was epic when you had the chance to play with and vs good players.

H2 was 'easier' to play mulitplayer, because of XBL, but CE was a better game (skill vs kill wise)

Matter of opinion tho I guess. I had a lot more access to playing multiplayer vs good teams and players then most people did during that time.

I agree with everything you said, except (imo) CE was better, I think if you would have had the chance to play CE on a competitive level, you would agree.
