All I know is that all of blizzard projects have taken ~3 years after announce to get released

What I did not realize is how long ago they announced it, it feels like it was not that long ago, so I wasn't expecting anything soon, but come to find out they announced it in 08 :O so I assume it wont be 'too' much longer now :)
