Because we're're the minority. The vast majority of Bungie's revenue comes from the casual gamers, not the competitive ones. The casual gamers not only buy more games, but they also spend more msp on the maps and other superfluous stuff that most competitive gamers don't bother with. The casual gamers are also the ones that frequent the Bnet forums, which is where most of Bungie's feedback comes from I'm sure.
Christ, but who cares, Bungie has made a profit from opening day sales, they aren't going to do much more than that, only 150k people play as it is, why are they still listening to the bungie.net noobs that yell DMR IS BALANCED CUZ I CAN KILLZ GUD PLAYERS NAOW?
