How am I in the wrong? He told me his stuff was in mint condition. I received a controller that didn't even work.

Because from what he's saying, it was working before you broke the bumper off. Sounds like there was just something spilled on the controller so the bumper was sticking, and a wet cloth to the open controller could have fixed it.

Why the hell would I even attempt to open the controller if it were working fine? Either way, he has agreed to pay half and half for a new controller. So, again, it doesn't matter what you think. Of course, I am at fault for breaking the controller. But, there is a reason why that happened in the first place. It was not mint like I was told. If it's not mint, then don't sell it as mint.

Seems fair ofc, but I don't know why you would ever expect mint from a trade over the internet, even if you know the person very well. Trying to fix the controller is where I think you screwed up, especially if you don't have the right tools and/or knowledge of how to fix the item. And why are you saying this?



You already admitted fault.

I meant not at fault about the condition of the original package. Yes, I broke the controller further.

And that's exactly why it matters if you know us or not. It comes down to a "he said she said thing." I say it didn't come working. He said it did. Because you don't know either of us, you don't have any right to claim that he is more trustworthy than me in that regard. Even in the other thread, Cody stated that he is not surprised the controller wasn't working, considering how much Mike used to rage. That is why I said your commentary doesn't really matter here - because it is a he said she said issue.

Then why post it at all if it's a "he said she said" situation? It has nothing to do with "trust," it just comes down to the fact that you broke the controller in the end, which is the issue.

I explained why I posted it in the other thread. If you are that interested in this whole issue, then maybe you should read all of the info?

And what would it matter if I did or didn't break the bumper off? That doesn't change the fact that the controller wasn't working in the first place. It's a he said she said about whether I caused it to initially not work or if he did. Or maybe it was the shipping handling that was rough.
