There were all kinds of tricks like this in CE. Like the sniper one on Hang Em' High.

I liked the BR1 nade on Lockout in Halo 2, toss it up to Snipe 3, blow up the barrels and knock the sniper down to sword spawn. Epic, but a pain in the ass to line up right.

...this. The most frustrating thing when it would go off the map cuz your nade is .0001 cm to the right or left.
