You clearly don't get halo wars. Sometimes you don't have to defeat their army but have to destroy more of their base faster. And hogs and hawks can do this easily.

e: also tanks > odst all day just learn to use them

You beat ODST by spamming gauss cannon and circling them.
You can also beat them by killing their base with your hawks before they kill yours with their ODST.
There are plenty of ways to kill them.

ODST are pretty good, so fuck you retards saying they're bad. The bad part is letting the opponent even get them...

If they get ODST take out their double reactor (chances are if they teched to ODST they have one). That'll stop drops and set em back 1700 resources and about 30 seconds minimum. They can still pump out of a barracks requiring 0 tech, but you'll gimp them pretty badly by taking out their double reactor.

If they have a force of ODST, try to get them to retreat to their base. ODST move slowly, so it'll take them a while if they take the bait. To directly beat ODST you want tanks/wraiths, flamers/jackals. Banshees/Hornets are effective as long as you have a second base since you can let one base go (if need be) while taking out their base, then flying around the map to keep them from rebuilding until they're eliminated. You don't want to directly confront ODST with air or hogs. Proper micro of Hogs can devastate ODST, but will still come out on bottom assuming the person isn't a complete dunce and knows not to waste all rockets on one warthog.
