Shan: Hello. Thank you for visiting our chat service. May I help you with your order today?
Keith: I attend university in Chicago and my internet is terrible. Is getting a 4g adapter an alternative?
Keith: Could I completely replace my internet needs with this device and plan?
Shan: I am happy to assist you find out if you can get the 4G service in your area!
Shan: Do you already have a laptop or computer?
Keith: Yes. And I know I have 4g service in my area.
Keith: So, would having this plan with a 4g adapter offer me unlimited internet use?
Shan: It will only offer you the 5Gb or the 10 Gb optiions. Verizon does not have an unlimited plan for the mobile broadband plans.
Shan: Do you use the Internet often?
Keith: I do use the internet often. So, 5gb isn't very much at all is it?
Shan: It depends on which sites you visit.
Shan: Approximately 42 web pages equals 1 MB, that is 24 KB per page. Approximately 336 plain text emails would be 1 MB, that is 3 KB per email.
Keith: Alright. What about for things like games?
Shan: Gaming will use more data. If you game, I would recommend the 10 Gb plan for $80.
Keith: Is it coming for gamers to have that plan?
Keith: common*
Shan: Yes, because they use more data than the average user who does not game.
Keith: I mean, is it common for a gamer to have the 4g adapter?
Keith: I don't really have a clue how much I download per month

80 dollars for a plan that isn't unlimited.
Uhh......
Tell him you watch many porn and play lots of video games, both on the PC and xbox at the same time and you need to know if it will exceed 10 GB within the next bill.
Is there an alternative that I can resort to if this 10 GB does not meet my satisfaction.

I don't know if I am correct, but 3G is pretty slow is it not?
Are you trying to get a USB modem so you can use your laptop outside of the house/apartment/dorm?

Do you have an active ISP or are you trying to sign a contract with one of these by buying their product as well.

These are not good options. Even the 10 gig plan would likely be used up within the month. I don't know exactly what the transmission rates for gaming are (and they differ between games), but any time you wanted to visit youtube or anything you'd be drawing from the same well.

The other problem is latency. The ping for one of those cards is likely to be several hundred ms at minimum. For surfing the web that's not a big problem, but you'd definitely have some issues if you tried to play any online multiplayer games.
