As promised, I'm going to try to throw a little tourney together for the Halo Series people who play poker. I've never done one of these before but I have a rough idea of how I want to do it. We will be playing on Full Tilt (since that is where all my money is at), and it will be 6-handed. I can't figure out if you can even make custom tables on Full Tilt so we may have to just occupy empty rooms.
I looked and you start with 1000 play chips so we will play 10/25 with a 1000 in starting chips.
As for the setup, this is still up in the air and it depends on how many people want to do this but I was thinking the following:
Increments of 6 obviously...preferably 12 or 18 people. If we have 12 people then the top 3 from each table will move on and play on the final table, where the prizes will be rewarded. If we have 18 people then it will either be top 2 from each table or some weird staggered setup that I'm too lazy to think up right now.
Prizes will be as follows:
1st - $25
2nd - $15
3rd - $10
4 - $5
I want to schedule this for next week...I'm thinking Monday evening. If people say they are interested in this and then back out or don't show up then don't expect me to ever do something like this again.
If you are interested let me know...first 12 or 18 are in.
I'll be surprised if this isn't closed for using real money; if you're serious about this, maybe you should buy fg with the money and reward that? Although I completely understand if you want to not give any money to the site
I suck at poker, but I'd be in if it weren't for the fact that California time is significantly behind everyone else and you'd have to push the tournament late. Good luck to everyone though
