hi,

been loving the final fantasy - series for ages, i loved FF7 ofc, and enjoyed FF9 alot, played FF8 to but i never got into the story that much

i replayed FF9 (remake version with "better graphics") but kinda sucked that i already knew the story and the enhanced graphics where not that great ...
also loved FFX (also played the remake but same problem, knowing the story and not liking to do the grind again ;) )

played FF13, hated it
played FF12 remake on switch ... wasnt bad, but couldn't relate to the story that much

are there other Final fantasy games that give the same enjoyment ofFF7 or FF9 or FF10 with "modern age graphics", i don't need 4K but like, at least as good as FFX on PS2 ...

what i enjoy:

- Great story (doesnt need to be 50/60+ hours like FF7, of course its allowed^^)
- needs to be on PC (prefer steam cuz i can buy with FG's^^ )
- i loved the "cartoonish" characters of FF9 the most, 2nd place for FF7 and X, its more relaxing then FF8-12-13 imo
- Single player
- i loved the "open world at certain point in story"
- i like the fixed battle system with the bar's like the old Final fantasy's, FF13 system was annoying, FF12 got to easy at a certain point where u just could AFK and let them fight

please help me find a relaxing game to enjoy when i got some spare time

<3

FF5 is a really great game too and has had a recent "pixel remaster" definitely one of my favorites in the series besides 7 ofc
also there is 3d remakes of FF3 and 4 that i would highly recommend too especially 4 :)

Final Fantasy 6 is my favorite in the series, and I highly recommend trying it out. They have a pixel remaster coming out soon and I plan on buying it, hoping it looks good. I recommend the GBA version if you want to emulate it. The steam and android ports are awful because of the sprites.

Chrono Trigger is in my opinion the best JRPG of all time. I cannot recommend it enough.

As far as modern graphics go, give Dragon Quest 11 a try. I really enjoyed it a lot when I played it last year.

A lot of people talk about the Yakuza series, but I have not played it personally. It is on my list of games to play soon though.
