òk so i finally got myself ff7 the pc version , its worked fine up to know but when i get to the golden saucer after the fight with dyne, u gotta race the chocobos right . Well .. whenever i go up to the lift collect ramuh from the floor and the girls tells u the controls then u go to start the race , the music comes up but the screen stays black then u get windows msg ff7.ex e occured error blah blah then it closes down , just wondering if any1 else has had the same problem? and if theres anything i can do to stop this ,ie chaning settings or w/e .

Search the internet for patch downloads or other information. Most likely there's a bug that someone somewhere fixed with a patch you just need to find it.

Yes, you need the windows XP patch, when the game came out for pc, it was only meant to support windows 98. This will fix the game crashes.

Those were the DAYs... yes, DL patch, I would manually even goto the MS site to ensure it.

i had same problem. i dled patch installed and boom it worked awesome

ran into same problem, this was the solution, also
been like a over a year since i had it on comp, but i had
problem at the point when the game ( on ps1) would switch from
disc 1 to 2.
