Just bought the game with the exp. pack on steam.
It seems like i can't even open the game, as I keep having the same error code 30437 saying that the game can't be updated.

I tried a few common suggested fix, but nothing worked so far (re-install, verify integrity of game cache, re-update).

If anyone had this problem before and managed to fix it, please post your solution here.
I sent Square Enix a ticket this morning.

I run Windows 10 with a much fine PC, so specs are just fine.

update windows if its not updated already just had this problem on a mac needed to update OS

I doubt it is specs
You might not have something updated or even installed
Make sure your C++ and microsoft .net framework is installed/updated
Make sure direct X is installed and updated.

This has been happening a lot lately to people. The only actual post I've seen that everyone agrees on is that you need to just keep trying over and over until it finishes

try using a VPN to update your game, because the patch files are being outsourced from japan more than likly they are being blocked by your firewall.

this happened to two of my friends, they had to use a VPN to download the patch, cyberghost is what they used i think
