So I figured out most items can be gotten via Chocobo world through a pocketstation, still would like to find someone who has done this

It's only possible to do this in the japanese version.

I completed a perfect file earlier this year, the best thing you can do is play cards. A lot. Make sure you figure out how to manipulate the card rules all around the world so you don't have the random, direct, etc rules.

Get cards and mod them to your advantage, it makes things a lot easier.
