Okay, I need to know

Is there a way to achieve "End Game" gear through gil?

I had a little bit of talk about this with someone else, but apparently the best gear for the character is only earned?

I need to know more about stats and such with items.

I am Lancer, so I need some help.

if you have a shit load of gil to spend and feel you have a good rng melding high ilvl crafted item whill always have more stats but depending on the world + wallets + RNG it can be a pain

Well for starters if you're only a lancer you should focus on leveling. After that usually there will be high end guilds/statics that sell runs of the max level dungeons. So yes by having lots of gil you can effectively buy your gear.
