So I have been bored lately and decided to play all my FFs again in numerical order. These are all the PS remakes or originals btw.
Just completed FF1 yesterday and I will say that up to that point I honestly had never played it. I found it to be actually very challenging. Especially since like a retard I didn't learn there was a world map until I didn't need it anymore. Plus my character selection made it a lil more challenging.

Anyway I completed the game under normal difficuly in about 31 and a half hours total playing time. I used a warrior, thief, white mage, black mage to start out with. Received 100% of all items but only like 93% of all monsters. There were some rares I never fought I believe.
Didn't us a guide for anything. I'm still trying to buy the guide for it actually. Characters were all lvl 42 when completed and after getting my ass beat a few times in the 30s by Chaos when I played him yesterday i owned him.


On to FF2

And I won't be replaying FF12 since I'm currently really still playing it. I've been fighting Yiazmat for months cause I'll turn it on and fight him for about 15 minutes then get bored with it and turn it off. Otherwise I've completed most everything else and mostly all without the use of a guide.

Must be an OCD thing, I do that too. I won't skip them either. xD

Not an ocd thing I just figure since I got them all I'll play them all in their order. That way also I can notice the subtle and not so subtle changes between games. So far I despise the level system of 2. It's monotonous to just sit there and keep selecting magic and then unselecting just to give your magic a point each time. Vice versa with attacking and everything else. I prefer the good ole experience system. But that's just me. Still haven't really gotten much into 2 yet only about 2-3 hours into it and most of that is spent outside the first town building hp and stats.

What is the longest one do you think? I guess it's random, because the later ones you always have all these kinds of side quests to fuck around with. -.-''

I've got like 165 hours + on 12 and I haven't finished it yet. Mind you I could have finished it months ago if I completed the story but have been getting as much as I can. When all is said and done I doubt I'll even be like 85% completed due to all the weapons n items I never got throughout the game.
It's definitely the longest without counting XI cause thats just ridiculous.

Yea, that is a lot of hours to put into an FF game, but ya gotta get all the weapons, and the sidequests. Like all true fans. xD

I'm getting as many as I can without being overly ridiculous with the game. Items and that don't really interest me as much as all the unique monsters. I won't truly be done with 12 until I've defeated every rare monster and pretty much completed the bestiary. But I'll never get the Z Spear cause I didn't know about not opening certain chests and I dont nearly have the patience to try to find it in the mine. I don't ever use guides on first playthroughs.
Until I get to about the end and want to go abck and find some things like all the rares in 12.

I hear the graphics are going to be hard to beat.

IMO 12 is honestly like a singleplayer version of 11. I thought 11 was a great game fr the 4 months or so I playd it but just couldn't get past the aspect of it being a mmorpg. Most times I just didn't have all day to spend playing the game and in 11 that's really the only way you get things done sometimes.
I may play it again sometime but idk.
