People still play ffxi?

Yep. Plenty of people. Usually about 1-2k people on our server at a time I believe. If people weren't still playing, I don't think they'd be pushing out major updates monthly as well as new expansions every year or 2.

It's a fantastic game!

I agree but I quit in 2008. Im now playing ffxiv as I feel I can play smaller amounts of time and enjoy the game still and make progress where ffxi in my day you could sit in game for three hours and never get anything done.
