2star gears doesn't seem to be as good as the ilvl90 mythology items which can be bought off merchant with mythology tomes.
for example, the stats on heavy darksteel armor is not as good as a ilvl90 head and body. furthermore the materia need to meld them is insanely expensive.
i keep hearing people say that 2stars are better but i don't really see how this can be usign that example.

Each class has best in slot items. Some 2stars are better than myths, some myths are better than coils.

For example, black mage star 2 head, vanya of casting pairs up with myth body.
