Ok, I'm trying to make myself a list of how to get gil.
things to note: I am not after the "fastest" way to do it, just a variety of ways (to keep myself entertained more than anything else)
1) farming lvl 50 content - make sure you are wearing lvl 50+ HQ items and the +3 spirit bind ring (allows farming of tombs and spirit binding to sell materia) - this can be done by getting an awesome crafter(s) to make the gear at cost or to make it yourself. between the coke you can sell and the materia, this is the quickest way to gain gil that i'm aware of
2) selling kills - a lot of people are willing to pay for titan, chimera and hydra kills - best done with 6 man fc members, allowing for 2 pay days per run
3) raw mats farming - finding kills that drop loot or by gathering professions, this can be a way to make some gil when the other ways just feel a little painful
4) creating cross crafting supplies (example: ingots). with a decent macro setup, you can make 100 of these (with a good one, many HQ) and sell them kinda slowly as to not drop the price much
5) creating low lvl characters for questing - not really sure how to effectively pull this one off, every time i try, its the least effective of all the strategies by far... maybe if i was to get some power leveling and start in my 20s this would pay off?
6) services for fg - seems to be the best get rich quick ever ^^
7) fate farming - rather boring and doesn't seem to pull much gil at all
8) creating ilvl 70 HQ gear - meld it 5 times and get your mother ~!@#ing movie check
any other ideas out there?
and as far as in game - #1 and 8 seems to be the fastest atm
