I did this a couple years ago, I wanted to see how fast I could get through the game and beat Emerald + Ruby . I managed just shy of 22 hours, was wondering if anyone else had ever tried this or if I'm the only crazy person lol.

well, you're not the only crazy person, but I didnt time it conventionally like you did (nor was my goal Emerald and Ruby) I got together with a friend of mine and nostalgia set in... we decided to get a good sleep and then wake up and play ff7 straight in 1 sitting (taking turns to get food pee ect) it was a long ass day but we did it... tbh once you know how to get beta on the first pass without bothering to level the rest seemed pretty easy.

I'm interested to see what you thought the worst parts are tho, i maybe try to see how fast i can beat the weapons one day if i get bored.

Oh I really don't remember what parts if any I had trouble with, the Nibelheim story always bugs me lol. It's just so long and boring, I enjoy a lot of the storyline but that part just irritates me for some reason. As far as the game goes I don't think I had problems anywhere, think I managed to make it through without dying. Emerald is always a bitch trying to beat that quickly, you don't have enough time to do any super OP builds so you pretty much just gotta run the standard absorb/mime/knights build with one person. Getting knights/cloud at 200 speed is probably what took the longest though.

My last file was like 50-60 hours, probably leaning towards 50 ~_~

I checked my latest save file and it is 23 hours in at the ending.

Damn, was this with beating emerald and ruby as well? I remembered I had to mob the entire time to hit 22, shit was a pain lol.

Gratz though
