I've just uploaded my next part since novemember. Just got out of the desert prison and did the chocobo races, this is the Gongaga Area. I've changed the style from a Let's Play, more to a walkthrough with limited commentary. More mods than ever here, this is the file from my laptop actually. Includes the real hardcore mod, which actually makes the game a challenge. Also some better updated character models, backgrounds, etc. Check it out:

Check out all the new shiny mods for anyone that hasn't seen ff7 with any mods before.

Well first and most importantly, you need a legit copy of the PC version of FF7, mods will not work with an emulator.

Next, you'll head on over to Qhimm forums, that is the big FF7 mod community(there are also a very small handful for FF8 PC version as well). Most of the mods you can find will be here, though you can probably find some through google.
The easiest way to use the mods is through the bootloader that someone put together on the forums:

There is a big list of mods for starters, and you can also find the bootleg bootloader there.

The music I put together myself, but you can use the regular FF7 music, and there are some generic options for orchestra versions and some remixed songs. I did use the bootloader on this file you see here, but I didn't starting out, I just used a bunch of mods I thought were interesting. But here, I'm using it with some other things I sprinkled in that weren't a part of the bootloader.

Mods do work with emulators?
I modded final fantasy tactics and played it with an emulator?
Maybe ff7 is different since it's older, dunno.

I've never heard of FF7 being able to be modded with an emulator. How did you mod FFT using an emulated version?
