im lvl 4 with vaan and lvl 4 with penelo

just done the sunstone thing and on my way back to dallam. its funny, i tried to pk a wereeolf ..instead he 1 hit both me and penelo.

main thing i struggle with now is the gambit. im not sure how to set it properly..ill prolly find out on my own but if any1 has some tips etc...much appreciated smile.gif

The way I played it at the start is that I ran around town talking to everyone until I got bored as sin. Then I'd get some marks (whichever are available at the beginning it's been so long I forget) and I'd go try n find them/kill them. Once found if they didn't completely rape me at the beginning of the fight I would try and fight them and if the battle was turning sour there's no shame in running away. The mark I had the most problem with at the very beginning stages of the game was the big wolf (name escapes me.) I would have it down to low health but then it would summon it's little helper wolves and would f me.

Also it's always a very good time to tackle hunts when you have a "guest" party member. That gives you up to 4 people total fighting in the fight so it greatly raises your odds.

And don't use guides. Guides are for pussies. I didn't get my guide until Christmas and never used it till I was on the 43rd hunt and started looking for the items to make the uber weapons. Otherwise most all of the sidequests can be done easily without a guide. I was rather disappointed in that fact. But the game overall is fantastic.

Trick is that when you get a guest char, level your chars up 2 level's over him/her.

guides are for pussies? not really . if ur stuck at 1 spot use it. and how does using a strat guide make u a pussy? likes seriously its a game take it less seriously

. hunts suck for Xp because they dont give all that much if any i thought they gave LP... if u played any final fantasy u would know lvling up is a major role before any save points because its just gonna get harder after the save point or means a boss is coming up.

only way ur gonna get all Xp to vaan is if u only use him. larsa should b in ur group and he is probably around lvl 16 i think. ur gonna just have to lvl all 3 and keep walking in/out of mines or certain areas to lvl off of the monsters. uhm another thing i TRY generally to lvl to about 4-5 lvls above the extra party member cuz bosses are a lot easier like that. uhm another thing is after mines take time to lvl a lot because after that point it gets really hard. like everytime u just about to go to another part of the game take time to lvl because it really isnt easy and the mines are kinda ez so figure how much harder it gets.

p.s get quickinings EARLY or try to at least because they help out a lot later on and i found out the hard way.and save license points till u need them or ull waste them as i did and what ever ur charecter came with like using from the start keep them using them weapons their strongest with that

what im doing is...

heal at save crystal in the lil village...running the 2 screens..annhilating 1 of them..then i try to kill the other... if not...just run back to village...heal at crystal..and keep doing it smile.gif
