About to buy some games through psn.
Can't decide between 8 or 9
I have beaten 9 and I loved it and would gladly do it again. I have only played through part of the second disk for 8 and I didn't think it was as good as the start of 9. Just looking for some opinions, thx.

imo:

9 has a better gameplay, 8 has a better story

overall I liked 9 better, but I really enjoyed both games

I like 8 better myself. I think it has a better story and great character development.

They are both in the top tier of FF games, so you can't miss out either way though.

If you've beat IX and have only dealt with a small portion of VIII's second disc, go with VIII.

8. I like both but 8 is just simply better. The story is more compelling and the characters develop more over time. Also, the plot twists are less expected than in 9 which in turn makes you want to play more.

/E: And triple triad (card game) is just too addicting to pass up on.

Take 8 and finish it!

8 is better, i have both 8 and 9, i found 9 to be a little to easy i beat it in no time, 8 actually took sometime to beat thou

9 is funner imo

every final fantasy is easy to beat when you know what you're doing,i like 9 more,better music and you can change every piece of equipment not only a weapon,chocobo mini game is also fun
