First off, I never played a final fantasy online game.

Curious is ff14 is worth the time.

Can you guys give me real cons/pros?

/e or is any online ff game worth starting up?

FFXI is well worth playing still. It is a game that is tough on newbies, but once you get past the learning curve, it can be well worth your time. And XI is still going very very strong, there is a brand new expansion coming out early next year with all new content.

I have never played XIV, but I had friends on XI switch over to it, but they came back after a few months. You may like it, you may not, but the general FF online population seems to lean towards XI rather than XIV.

Really turned off by sub fee though,I don't think I'll ever pay a sub fee for any game.

sub fee? don't know what you mean by that. I suppose you are probably talking having to pay an extra 1$ per new character.

If that's the case.. you don't even need more than one character. This isn't WoW, you play every job on one character, you don't need a new character every time you want to play a new class. You actually get attached to one character. The only reason you'd make a new character is for a mule really, there is no real other reason.

They both are pay to play. Just like pretty much every MMORPG. They are both cheaper than any other MMO I've played though, most are $15 per month.

14 is good once your crafting jobs are high, until then it's a struggle.

it's not easy to get crafts high until they're all ~lv20.
