Worth playing through? how much content in hours did it take to beat?

Yes it's worth it. It's a fantastic game. The number of hours to complete varies on if you use a guide or not. You'll get the most out of the game if you play without one, and it will take a good 40-50 hours. I think my time was around 56 hours, but I did a fair amount of exploring. But I still had a lot to do. For 100% completion, you're looking at 80+ hours.
