Final Fantasy XII seems to be more adult, more difficult and as vast as ever.
Gambits, brand new battle system, gfg chars, 50+ hrs into it..

I can't wait to get my hands on it and just sink into sweet unconsciousness about the surrounding world.

i love final fantasies in general; ive never found one that i havent liked. but i personally dont find 12 to be anywhere near as immersive or entertaining as seven, eight, or ten. id actually prefer x-2 to 12 if i had to pick between them. 12 is decent, but not great in my opinion.

You sir have lost your mind. X-2 was the worst video game I've ever played. Dumbest concept combined with dumbest story = longing for suicide. I've never used a strategy guide so fast so that I could just beat the game, get everything, and then never have to play it again.

I think the answer to your question is simple:
FF7 was the first Final Fantasy with very impressive and long storyline, nice graphics (were atleast ^^) and good main characters. Since FF8 came after and was totally something different, ppl judged it to be more worse. It was a love story between 2 youths, after we saw more action-filled FF7. Well, that is just my opinion, and I think FF7 and FF8 are both just great.. Maybe I like FF8 even more.. a.a

And @ iLeap, Im 20 and I play Final Fantasies.
And I think I won´t stop playing them before Square-Enix stops to treat me with great stories ^^
