FF13-2's demo is on the PSN if you don't know yet. Gives you an idea how the new cinematic commands work and how to use Monsters. Pretty good demo overall.
Now only a few more weeks for the game to actually come out..

I thought I could resist but I was wrong, got about 80% to go on the download. Have the game on pre-order and truly think it will outshine the shittiness that was XIII.

It's hilarious how defensive people get over whether the game was good or not. A video game is no different than food, music, your favorite color, your favorite season, your favorite movie, your favorite city; personal preference and nothing more. If I were to enjoy it, and you hate it, then why waste energy arguing it when I'm still going to be playing a game that I like I'm not going to spoil it for anyone that either can't access the demo or wants to wait 'til the 31st, but I thought it was kewl and I'll be playing the shit out of it.

Personally I think they've moved so far from what the fans really want in terms of playstyle and storyline. Again as above, it is my opinion, I don't really care if it's agreed with or even on the mark. The last good FF was 10 in my opinion, and even then I wasn't that fond of it. Everything else since then has just been a major let down in terms of battle systems and such. I enjoyed the oldschool battle systems. Now it's just become more and more of a "oh this is interesting, lets just use this and not really cater to the fans."

Funny how many people think 13 was shit, even though it sold just as much as 10, more than 9, more than 12. Going by sales ratings, it's approximately 4th, behind 7, 8, and 10 respectively.

I'm sure most people who dump on the newest installments of the FF series are the same people who don't even have a taste for other modern JRPGs anymore.

Just because you can read that a -TITLE- was highly anticipated doesn't mean it was a success in the long run. Go back and look @ those sales. Yes it sold quite well, but they were single/secondary day type of sells in which the title kept it anticipated for so long it was a mad rush to be bought. Sorry to say but after so long, it was reported in many mags and even on G4 that 13 flopped with the fans. :/
