im up to when sabin and locke and every1 else gets seperated probably about 2 hours into the game?
just wondering, will the characters i get keep seperating like in xiii where i have to use the chars they wnat me to use until like then end of the game or do i get em all back soon?
i dont want to grind and waste exp if thats the case...

yes, towards the end of the game you have to split the group into 3 parties of 4 (there are 12 standard characters and 2 hidden ones) quite often.

In FF6 you don't need a very high level to beat the game though (40-50 is enough depending on the equipment). Anyway it's not completely necessary to level up the whole cast, if you train 9-10 characters you should be fine.

Tip: there'll be a point in the game where you have to escape from an area before a countdown ends, when you get to the end of the area you will be given the option to waith for Shadow. Wait for him (he turns up around 10 seconds to the end of the countdown) or you will loose him forever and end up with only 11+2 characters.

Hey man, i thought the game was pretty easy. I didnt bother leveling up any of the other characters, just stuck to my main guys.
Every now an then you have to take some other character with you. At the ending part i put my stronger main characters mixed in with weaker guys in the other partys.
And had no problems finishing the game.

that's the only flaw in the game imo
