So I got about 2 hours into chapter 13 (43 hours total into the game)....never beat the game. My last save was probably late 2010 but I remember mostly whats going on in the story and I know what happens in the end since I spoiled it for myself by watching the 13-2 trailer.

Also I'll say that my goal is to plat this game. I've never had a plat trophy since I've had my PS3 (sad I know....damn world of warcraft for that...).

That being said, if you were in my position, would you restart the game play through completely then get the plat or would you start from where I left off?

The only numbered FF game I've yet to complete....its really starting to bother me.

Well a year and 7 months AFTER the game was released I have now beat the game. I feel accomplished yet pathetic for not finishing it sooner.

Im picking up Batman AC tomorrow but after I beat that Im going back to 13 and gonna go for the plat.

I just recently platinum'd this game, my file has 136 Hours on it as I like to re-explore areas of the game but I suggest if you didn't get all the chests/items to restart you may have missed a few items that you cannot obtain, feel free to PM any questions and I will help assist you.

I had to start over when I went for the plat because a year had passed since I beat the game.

I don't even see the point of pretending i want to finish 13. I ran in a straight line for 25 hours and when the world finally opens up, All that is open is stupid repetitive missions where nothing different happens. There not even side quests. Its A sidequest, As in 1. Anyone who plat'ed this game needs a life, seriously.

you must hate ff X even more.

XIII wasn't THAT bad. I decided to quit playing trying to finish all the missions and farm for my ultimate weapons. I was like "Wait... I've already beaten the game. What am I doing?" Definitely not one I'll replay, but the story portion of the game was tolerable in my opinion.

what do you guys think of FFX-2 cause that's my absolute lest favorite of the entire series.

I liked the combat and changing jobs mid fight. I dont like that the jobs are "dress spheres".... Too much of a teenie bopping story line too.
