Villains, non-playables, main characters, whichever. If you had to pick one, who would it be?

I change my mind more often than I do my clothes, but I'd have to say I'm torn between Irvine from VIII


and Beatrix from IX

Way too much characters I love, but my top 3 should be:

Shadow - FFVI
Vivi - FFIX
Sabin - FFVI

Both games are my favorite also.

At this point in my Squaresoft career I'll have to agree with you as far as favorite games. Overall at least, my favorite storyline would've had to have been VIII. Sabin is an awesome character, all my love, devotion, and relics were given to Sabin

Yeah, VIII's storyline was really good, but my favorite in all aspects (except graphics for those who will bitch) is VI.

I didn't really like VIII's characters though, except maybe Rinoa. Seifer was cool too, but not badass enough

I started V at home and wasn't able to beat it before I had to return to work. Galuf certainly wins the Old Man Award though!

Nice thread, I think we haven't had one of these at least in a long time. I like too many to just choose one... I'm tempted to say Vivi or Beatrix, but since they've already been mentiones, I'll go with either Auron or pretty much anyone from FFVI (Cyan, Sabin, Shadow, Celes,...). I gotta say I always really liked Lulu's sarcastic attitude. As for NPC's... I've always liked Bugenhagen and the Turks from FFVII
