okay so I recently beat FFX (one of the only ff games I never got around to playing)

so what was the deal with tidus? did he ever actually exist in the old zanarkand? is he purely just a thought up dream?


to my understanding so far:
-Dream Zanarkand was made by the survivors of the old zanarkand who became fayth/yu yevon
-tidus is from dream zanarkand and became more than a dream when touched by sin (I assume jecht too)
-when they defeated sin/jecht/yu yevon the fayth stopped dreaming so tidus faded away
-tidus's mother appeared in the farplane

the end makes you think he was a dream. and there's nothing that will say otherwise. beat (or watch on youtube) what happens at the end of X-2 for a complete understanding.

Throughout the game he is a dream. He existed 1000 years prior to the game.

IMO Tidus and Yuna had terrible English VAs.

Snape was awestruck when he saw a portal materialize in front of him, transporting him to the year 1999 AD. The ground tremors at his feet, a huge fissure erupting beneath him. The dark wizard instinctively shoots a killing spell into the fissure, and by some miracle, the cataclysm ends. Behind him arrive Chrono and friends, shocked by the turn of events.

Chrono knew then what he must do. He must kill Lavos, who has transcended reality and transformed into a greasy wizard. Lifting his rainbow katana, he aims a blow for Snape's heart. In trepidation, Snape disarms him with a rudimentary spell. At precisely that moment, a rift in time appeared under Chrono, transporting him, and his trusty sword, to the distant future.

A green haired sorceress stood there, battling with a seriously deformed clown. With a frighteningly powerful spell, the clown disables Terra with ease. Kefka then moved to push the statue out of alignment. Without a word, Chrono took up his blade and thrust it into the maniac's chest, while shooting Luminare spells into the bloody wound. Kefka's final words were, "NO!!! Wait... who are you!?"

Terra awoke in a strange, dark place. The only person she saw was a strange silver-haired man, reading some scientific pamphlet about biology. The demi-god looked up at Terra, who was admittedly nervous. Licking his lips, the long-haired, fair skinned man said to her, "You know, you're pretty cute. We should go out sometime." Terra, bewildered by Sephiroth's confession, felt a strange combination of emotions. She then, almost accidentally, morphed into a pink furry beast and shot a fireball through the man's chest.

Meanwhile, Cloud arrives on the scene, and, upon seeing his hero dead, runs Sephiroth's sword through his chest in anger and confusion.

The end.

tidus was awful though ._.

Tidus' laugh makes you want to shake a baby.

This is most likely a retarded question, but is this seriously a story of a game made?
I was sitting here like, Ok so I never BEAT FFx or X-II, but I am PRETTY sure Crono never actually made an appearance...
