I can't agree with that. ff13 was a great game. Gameplay and linear story/mission made it work really well. Its about the paradigms, which you liked or didn't. There wasn't a middle. I found more strategy in battle because of the system. Plus you can literally mix and match characters to beat every enemy/boss in the game.
This looks like a zelda/real time game. Is that what everyone else got out of it (ffvs). Also, that Behemoth looks awesome.
No it was pretty much a letdown all you did was battle, run, battle, run, run, run, battle, run, avoid battle, battle, run, run, run.
No good sidequests, no talking to people in towns.
They should have went with a fixed camera if it meant they would be able to add more RPG features to the game. All I got out of 13 was an oversensitive 3D camera, no story branching, lots of rerun battles where you cycle through the same paradigms and it takes way too long to finish fighting.
