At the very end of the year, trademark filings for Final Fantasy Type-0 cropped up, followed by the appearance of a website. Now the mystery behind this new Square Enix title has been laid bare. It is the new name for the PSP game previously known as Final Fantasy Agito XIII. In addition, Square Enix has given a release window of this Summer in Japan and the title will ship on two UMD discs.

Square Enix has expressed that they intend to turn Type-0 into a spin-off series. No word as of yet regarding release outside the Land of the Rising Sun.
