Hey i was just curious is this a expansion to the first final fantasy online? Or is it a whole new game? I never played final fantasy online but i did want too.. just never got into it. I want to play this one.

What kind of MMO is it? PVP mainly? PVM? How is it compared to say WOW or EQ? thanks any help would be appreciated.

It's still in beta phase and it's a whole new game.

The game itself is WAY different fro WoW/EQ, and it's mainly a PvE game (Although I don't know about XIV, but XI was). Very fun game, played XI for about 4-5 years, but it was way too much time consuming. I think they are planning on making this one less, with more soloing.

It's going to be a great game.

As someone who played pretty much solo'd as a BST to 75. I'll tell you now, it was one of the WORST experiences in any MMO I have ever played.
The only highlight was taming shit, and releasing it on top of parties.

There are a ton of leaked beta videos up on youtube at the moment, to help you judge the game.
By the looks of it, looks solo friendly.
