Well all the reviews I read and such are about the game when it first started, so the community was thriving and alot. But after WoW i have a very strong feeling that it's not even 50% of what it used to be.
I dont really have a problem with the inflated economy, because i used to play lineage 2 and that economy was pretty nasty, but I lived with it. But I couldn't deal with spending 2 hours looking for a damn group to quest with, seeing as it was near impossible to solo unless you had sufficient funds.
I dont mind spending hours on leveling, i guess that's the way it should be. (Even d2 takes numerous hours of play to get to lvl 99)
But I'm also thinking about starting up WoW, it just seems more kiddish though? And it just seems so easy and i feel that i'd get bored with it like most people i've talked to after only a couple months.

Well about my opinion, do it.. Dont even think about Wow, to many kids over there.. With ff11 u will got plenty of english-speaking japanese as well! Cuz they all playing on the same servers.. Ps2 and pc^^ and now 360 as well >.<

WoW is very much a kiddy MMORPG. That, and Blizzard doesn't update it for shit, which is pretty damn sad considering how much money they make per month. Squandered much?

lol, but like paul said, Blizzard is kinda lazy... PoL and SE are update whores. I'd highly suggest FFXI over WoW anyday.

People say that you can't PvP in ffxi and that's y they play WoW but that's entirely not true... You can do Ballista which is PvP down to the exploding of another player.

I prefer PvM anyday. If you want PvP, please DAoC or Guild Wars.

Ya, I don't PvP at all but i'm just sayin that you can in FFXI so that's not a good reason to not play it ^^

PvP is kinda limited but it's not that bad :S

FFXI is one of those games where you won't succeed by yourself. If you wanna be able to solo your way to lvl 75 then it isn't the game for you.
