Warning: Spoilers might be posted for any Final Fantasy game

I'm replaying FFX (finally was able to download an iso of the International version, looking forward to spanking some Dark Aeons), and I'm approaching the first real plot twist (about to get to Macalania Temple, won't go further into it to minimize spoilers) which got me thinking about this. What's your favorite plot twist? Which caught you most off-guard? Try not to give too much away for those who haven't played that game yet, just give enough to remind those who know what you're talking about. Any final fantasy game you want.

Favorite FF Plot twist...lets see here...I'd have to say FF12 with Balthier (one you find out around the laboratory)
Though favorite of all time is Drakengard (not final fantasy i know, but thought I'd add it for whatever reason), its early on, and kept me laughing the entire game

One of my favorites was at the end of FF9 when they lead you to believe Zidane is dead but then he pops up at the play I was like O_O

FF8 entire plot was nothing but twists haha.

But....my ALL time favorite plot twist was when Tidus was revealed as a dream and didnt really belong in Yuna's time. In the end when he disappeared and didnt come back....shit was FUCKING EPIC. They ruined it with X-2 though....

It's got a decent battle system; the garment grid was a good system overall. It was just the overall tone of the game that made it suck.

Well it was cool because you could just which powerups you wanted by choosing which garment grid each char was in.
