You know the giant turtles in Gran Pulse? The Adamantortoises? Kill those and they'll occasionally drop trapezohedrons. You need 6 of them to make one of each ultimate weapon. They can also drop platinum ingots, which sell for 150k gil. Always use 36 sturdy bones or 36 vibrant oozes before you try to upgrade a weapon. Those give it an instant 3x multiplier. I've found that 36x sturdy bones + 1x ultracompact reactor = instant maxed tier 1 weapon.

this is rediclious im just doing this to lvl off them they only dropped like one of them things to ulitmate weapon and you need 6 for like 20weapons impossible rofl..

this is what youre going to spend the majority of your time on

the other option is to upgrade dragoon spear to kains lance and max it out and then scrap it... you will get back 3 traps plus a bunch of other stuff

if you find it easier to just grind for gil, then this is another way to go
