just keep going on with the story, dont bother trying to grind yet... but if you insist on grinding now then i suggest the first thing you do is get vanille her death spell and then go do mission 55 asap in order to get the growth egg

once you have it grind on the behemoth/wolf fight at the entrance of the mine which is easy and always pre-emptive, or go into the mines and grind on the cryo bomb type enemies

but the reason i say to wait is because once you get to chapter 13 there will be a room with 3 sub-boss fights in it which are all worth about 32k (64 if you got the growth egg) and they are respawnable very easily... this is the single best place to level up... and make sure you max out all roles available and build up 999,999 extra cp before you beat the game since this room can not be returned to once you leave it

Ma'habera is an excellent place to do some grinding. You can accumulate about 23000 CP every 5-10 minutes. On the first map just run from the first save point to the dead end back and forth.

theres a monster right before you get to last portal, gives 32k each fight and takes like 60-90sec to kill

but it dissapears (the arrear) after you've done endboss, so skill all max and farm 1mio cp before you do him

I would say grind a little as it makes it easier but once you get to chapter 13, there are these mini bosses you can fight again once you are in the last area. 32K CP per fight (roughly 2-3 minute fight) and there are two sets that should be relatively easy. Grind there. It is amazing.

I grinded mission 24 until I maxed each person's 3 main roles (this is post-game, mind you). With the growth egg, it is 12k CP/6k gil per completion. It takes 20 seconds to win the battle and it takes ~30 seconds to go start/end the mission. So that's 120k/60k per hour. I've long since moved onto grinding traps, though.

Best place is the behemoth king and other monster at the ''end'' of Gran Pulse open area, before you enter those mines. Respawn them by walking just past save point all the time.

You always get pre-emptive strike on them.
