there are actually 4 versions

adamanchelid
adamantortoise
adamantoise
lon gui

the first one is easy and you will have to beat one during the main story

the next 2 have similar stats but one has more hp/lower resistance to status ailments and the other is the opposite

and the final one you unlock after completing some of the missions.... this is the one you need to beat to get the achievement/trophy

killed a chelid and king behemoth

the adamantoise/adamantortise can eb taken out easily by using vanilles death spell (look it up on gamefaqs for the specifics)

Oh yeah, its the faggot that one hit me when i got to grand pulse.

like i said... once you get vanilles death spell you can take revenge on them, and start farming for platinum ingots and trapazohedron... just make sure you get the collectors and connoisseurs catalogs first

so far ive fought him 19 times with the staff debuffing level 2 on and death hasnt hit him yet wtf what is the chance like .01%

dnt b upset.... i just completed mission 32 and i still cant get hectonchair O_O

couple of things .... bring in a party of 2 sabs and a synergist (vanille/fang/lightning)

summon hecatoncheir right away to take out the legs, then dismiss him immediately

while you spam death fang will debuff (she has 6 debuffs hes susceptible to, as opposed to vanilles 3) and lightning can buff your party

death has an increased chance of hitting for every debuff on the enemy already so with fangs 6 debuffs on him you will have a much better time farming him
