doesnt it seem kinda hard to collect a lot of gil? im 6 hours in and i only have 910 and potions cost like 50 each. phoenix downs cost 1k each. the only way for me to get more gil is to sell stuff.

from what ive seen so far gil isnt that important (atleast not yet)

i thought the same thing at first but now im up to 20k, bought all of the accesories i didnt already have and have bought quite a few potions

i found a place in chapter 7 that you can build up a decent amount of money, atleast for the part of the game i am on

when you get to hopes house you will be able to fight 2 groups of soldiers, if you run around the map in a circle the enemies will respawn... they have a a chance to drop both phoenix downs and incentive chips which sell for 2500 each, and give 160 cp per fight, plus with a party of 3 characters the fights are easy

I found one that had 15000 Gil in it :P. I had to beat a massive Alpha Behemouth first though but it was probably worth it

It works kind of like ff12, most gil is earned through selling stuff. Specifically items that say "Can be sold for premium" This means that the items is virtually worthless when crafting so it's best to sell it.

you will know when it happens, its kinda unmissable

also any human enemy seems to have the ability to drop incentive chips and theres a spot later on when you board the sanctum ship that has a grouping of 5 fights close together that you can keep respawning by re-entering the area
