i have a ps3 and kinda wana get into the final fantasy series... what series do you recommend and why?

Well, FFX is the better of the handful of fully 3-D ones (PS2,) but FFXII was pretty good as well, though not turn-based like all the others. FFX-2 (a direct sequel to X,) is kind of bad, but it was certainly unique. FFVII is the best of the oldschool kind, people still rant & rave about it today, I have never played it though. 8 & 9 are love it or hate it I've heard, and haven't played anything prior. Don't think the PS3 is backwards compatible, but I think most or all are on their network for download. FFXIII is to be released in March iirc, as well as FFXIII Versus, which is supposed to be much darker, and essentially just better from what I understand.

Have you never played any FF games?

ah very nice i like people when the explain in detail thank you and yes i have played FF once way back when i think it was there first or second one not sure i know it was on ps1 lol (and my ps3 is backwards compatible)

So, basically, start with X or VII imo. If you like VII, go for VIII & IX. Nothing really compares with X, except X-2, but they goofed that up, imo. XII is real-time combat so that's kind of weird for FF lol. I think XIII is the same way, and it's been getting pretty poor reviews in Japan. & NP, I'm bored at work anyway

aah ok right on do you know the most popular series that everyone play a buddy of mine said ffxi was his fav he asked if people do fg for currency and i told him idk so i came here to look it up and kinda gotten me to want to check it out

p.s. army of 2 is bad ass just dont like the new one at all

Hah, the new one is decent. I never got much into the online, but rollin' through campaign with friends is good times. They improved the controls alot in this one, and the Extraction mode should be fun.

Battlefield: Bad Co. is where it's at for war games imo

Back on topic, FFXI is popular, it's on 360 & PC I believe. It's also P2P, like $15/m. You get a month free when you buy it though, and it's only like $20. I haven't played it or heard much about it tbh, other than it's addicting and such ofc. I've seen people post for trades on here before, but nothing real consistant to make it worthwhile imo.

Should just wait for FFXIV tbh, that will be out soon enough, and it's a new online FF game. Probably P2P again, but still, will make FFXI obsolete, and with the amount of commitment it takes to get rollin' would probably be worthwhile just to wait.

yeah i didnt know it was p2p >< ill have to wait on the p2p thing for a lil bit but i will tottaly take a look at it

Get it fixed imo.

I'd recommend the possibility of buying FFXI time cards with FG if you have donor access, but they'd cost much more than 12.72
