I'm at that point of the game where I can choose either the Ragnarok Esper or the Ragnarok weapon. Which should I choose? I know Ragnarok is the only Esper that can learn Ultima, but I like a good weapon as well, Atma Weapon takes so long for it to "grow" to it's potential use. So, I don't know what to choose, give me your imput.

Weapon, but that's me 'cuz i rarely (never) use magic except like healing magics.

But now I have to wait for Terra to learn Ultima on her own

While you turn the cursed shield into the paladin shield over the next 255 battles, you can easily max out your chars. The paladin shield can teach Ultima.

FF6 is entirely too easy and doesn't require sMax abilities. I just beat it in 10 hours at level 42.

I just finished the game a little over 20 hours, level 77. I tried to level all my characters to at least 50 before I went to fight Kefka, turns out I didn't really need them that high.

The Ragnarok weapon was doing 9999 damage with Edgar, with an 8k Flare spell to back it up.

Ending is always too short, I thought they might have added a better Cinematic for the PSX version >_>

yeah the ff6 and 7 storylines are pretty much interchangeable. The ending sucked, but you have to remember this was made for the SNES.

Honestly, I think there is another Esper that teaches Ultima, so I would go with Ragnarok-weapon.
