i think its lame.
I dont like how they are wasting final fantasy titles on games that aren't going to be standard.
Online final fantasies should be named differently v.v
i havent played 11 and i wont play 14 it looks like.

edit: the drawing though for the cover of the game is pretty cool though, in terms of the online theme.

I'll give it a try. Im not too hopeful. Final Fantasy is a single player console game. I'd like it to stay that way.

agreed but at least one should experiment with the new online game right?

only if you can use multiple characters, :D
the biggest downfall of mmorpgs imo is that you can only use 1 char, and that blows to me. i like raising up everyone in the party, and have multiple characters to explore new abilities/limits/weapons, etc.

you mean like in the solo ff games? like FF12? where you can select the skills for every char and weapons`?

I agree, but you can't look at XI and XIV in a traditional Final Fantasy sense. It's still got the name tagged on, but it just happens to be a slightly different genre. Btw, in XI, you can party up with people and engage in turn-based gameplay, similar to that of a party controlled entirely by you. It was fun for the time that I played it, but I deterred from playing any further because of the $15 P2P.

You could explore all the jobs with one character in XI and it'll probably stay that way in XIV, I don't see why it's such a downfall in this case.
