it opened the ff series in a whole new way that no other could
it was the legend of its time and will still be considered a legend for many many years
all ff8 and up have adbapted most if nto lal game play aspect from it

i wonder y ff7 is the best i only like it cuz of the storyline seems completely different and cloud and sephiroth seems too gfg and i like the materia and the chocobo that is my opinion ^.^

I honestly liked 8 and 10 more than 7 although last time i played 7 was like 6 years ago lol when i was like 10 so i might play it again and see if i like it better

well 8 and 10 are made frmo 7 its all teh same just different colors

Of course FF7 was like no other, the fact that it became so good was because there was no other rpg games that came even close to something like this. And to show the world that rpg can be played like this - astonished people. Remember Final Fantasy was created in a way because SquareSoft wasn't the star company back then, and their games weren't the most popular out there. Ergo..coming out with "Final Fantasy" , named because it might be the Final kind of game that they will produce. But it became such a hit that Final Fantasy was created over and over again, and everytime they created it - it was another hit after hit. And once FF7 came out, it was like no other - giving another spin on RPG Games

7 is over-rated, it was just iconic and groundbreaking

especially about the game playing being the best on FFVII , complete and utter joke.
the game play was extremely horrid , its a good job the story makes up for it.
7 is only so popular because its was many gamers first FF game of the series
older games such as 4/6 are a million times better , just dont get the recognition they deserve.
along with FFX/FFXII , gameplay wise these are the better ones. and for me , more entertaining than previous games due to the vast amount of sidequests ect.

im 100% certain fans wouldnt consider FFVII even in the top 5 of the series if you removed Cloud/Sephiroth
its the characters and story that make the game what it is.
