If you do this exactly right, you can complete FF8 with all characters at base level of joining in your team.
Because I did this MANY MANY years ago, I think the last level is 15... (gunslinger... forgot name).

I have also posted this information along time ago on how to do it.
I just want to see how many have done it..

I will add a poll to check numbers... if you want to know how this is done... I will write it up later.

Key trick to this: It begins at Dollet (sp)

Also give us all the lowdown on when you did it and so on... people want to know (maybe)...

Yeah, I've done it a few times. The first time was maybe about a year or two after getting the game (2001 or 2002 probably).

Tips:
- Play cards, win Abyss Worm cards, refine them into Windmills (I think that's the name), refine them into 100 Tornadoes, and junction them to Squall's Str at the start of the game
- Kill off your party and use Seifer to level up your GFs in Dollet (the same applies later with Edea in your party)
- Use Diablos' Enc-None to avoid random battles
- Use Card on enemies to avoid EXP
- Use Break on enemies that can't be carded
- Avoiding getting Odin (because he and Gilgamesh can appear and randomly kill enemies, giving you unwanted EXP)

It's actually really easy to do, and it's well worth it too. Using the bonus abilities adds a lot to your stats. It's the equivalent of having a free Ultima junction along with your normal junction. It also helps because I'm a bit of a perfectionist in RPGs.

The game is still pretty easy without doing that, but I can't help it. :P

keeping your chars at a low level can realy help untill u get all the str up vit up abiltys so u can max there atributes so u can max them all to 255. i have dont this with one game but only have squalls and irvines stats upto 255. tie is already in the red and havent gone to 4disc yet (game runied then) just cant be fucked doing it now takes way to long. my squal has a good junction set up with high eva and counter attack. bit of fun. idk. bring on ff13 i say :) 12 was a let down :(

This is pretty much the best tips...

When I first did this, I did it the long way.

Before heading off to Dollet... went to the beach outside... saved prior... counted how many hits it took to kill a fish (9 i think)... re loaded... hit fish (7-8 times) and used GF to card
Successful... gives no experience...
Done this quite a number of times just to get the cards for late on... then head off to Dollet...
(NOTE: make sure you do not go over the ridge for next quest when doing this process)
Kill off Party... except Seifer... Draw all from all enemies you can.... transfer it to your party (even if they are dead, they receive... and also the person on the boat)
Kill off to get Seifer up in levels... this also makes the enemies higher... and also their spells (Cure, Cura, Curaga)... again draw all and transfer....
Repeat this process until you have transferred all over to the other party members before heading over the edge to the next quest to get your GF...

The above is the basis of survival and killing... from here on... you card all your enemies so that you do not gain xp...

Use other tips as much as you can also...
